Men’s 75kg and below-Young and experienced fighter Jia Han Ray (WKO Singapore) became champion, it was very close fight vs Junichiro Honda (WKO Singapore) but towards the end, Jia Han got an opportunity to capture Honda with powerful inner kicks resulted the judges to raise Flags to him. His counter punch had Knocked Down Kazuki Nakagawa (WKO Singapore, 2nd place) at Finals. Men’s 65kg and below- Bervyn Lim (WKO Singapore) as champion, has experience in Fighting for Singapore tournament as well as Asia tournament for several years.
This time was the most Junior fighters participated ever as 23 fighters. This year 2016 SFC tournament was for weight category for Male, Open one match for Female, and weight category for Junior fighters. We had invited VIPs such as Shihan Sujoto (WKO Asia Chairman), Shihan Nagashima (WKO Asia Vice President, Shizuoka & Thai Branch Chief) and Branch Chiefs from other Karate Styles such as Ashihara Kaikan Singapore, Ashihara Karate International, Karate–Do Union Singapore, Shinbudo, Sabaki Technique Tong Dojo and Shitoryu Karate Association Singapore, Singapore Martial Arts Instructor’s Association, Yamaha Singapore and Yamaha Thailand. This year we had fighters from not only Singapore but from other countries: Ashihara Karate International, Ashihara Kaikan Singapore, Josui Kaikan Denmark, Josui Kaikan Singapore, Josui Kaikan Philippines, Shinbudo Shinkyokushin club, WKO Indonesia, WKO Singapore and WKO Thailand.
WORLD SABAKI CHALLENGE FULL
WKO Singapore had hosted the 4th Full Contact Karate national tournament, with other full contact Karate styles for friendship since 2013.
